Award-winning blues and roots artist Brigitte Purdy proudly announces the release of her newest album, Mother of the Crossroads, available now on CD and digital through Dirtshack Records. Blending blues, soul, Americana, and rock & roll, the album showcases Purdy's unmistakable voice and heartfelt storytelling, delivering songs filled with grit, passion, and authenticity.
Produced by acclaimed musician and producer Dave Osti, Mother of the Crossroads features rich musicianship and emotionally driven performances. Osti, known for his work as a songwriter, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist, performs the majority of the instruments on the album, creating a powerful musical backdrop that perfectly complements Purdy's soulful vocals.
Throughout her career, Brigitte Purdy has performed on prestigious stages around the world, including the Chicago Blues Festival, Vila do Conde Blues Festival in Portugal, and The Hollerand, where she shared the stage with blues legend Bobby Rush. She has also performed alongside celebrated artists including Sugaray Rayford, Tommy Castro, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, and Kenny Neal.
Mother of the Crossroads is also a deeply personal project. Dedicated to the memory of Purdy's beloved grandmother, Netty, the album reflects the love, strength, and musical inspiration that helped shape her journey as an artist.
